Have you ever wondered what it might be like to call up Ray Bourque and have him play on your team for that upcoming tournament on the weekend? Well now BMO Hockey Heroes lets you do just that, and support a great cause in the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Last year the weekend raised over $300, 000 for the cause, with NHL alumni players including Glenn Anderson, Marcel Dionne, Claude Lemieux, Rick Middleton and, yes, Ray Bourque!

 

For this year’s tournament, Goalline will contribute advertising throughout the region, a website, real-time scoring, scheduling, and all of the other essential logistics it takes to run an awesome tournament. The tournament kicks off on a Friday night, where the top fundraisers will draft their favourite NHL alumni player, who will be presented with a team jersey, be photographed with their team, and will sit with the team at their table while the draft unfolds. 

 

The Heart and Stroke Foundation is a volunteer-based health charity whose mission it to eliminate heart disease and stroke, and reducing their impact through the advancement of research and its application through the promotion of healthy living and advocacy. “To a person everyone here at Goalline is pumped to be part of such a great cause, and such an innovative and fun event,” notes Goalline’s Vice-President Mike Johnson.
