Announced in September of 2011 right here on Goalline Nation, we reported that the Youth Basketball of America (YBOA) selected Goalline to launch its very own custom website, using Goalline’s sports administration system to handle many of its day-to-day operations. This partnership continues to flourish, and we are proud to announce that another one of YBOA’s major members – the fine State of Louisiana – recently announced its migration to Goalline. 

 

The YBOA is known as the premier youth membership organization in basketball, with over 100, 000 youth athletes involved in its programs, and active in 23 international countries. Each year thousands of youth make an annual trip to Florida to compete in the coveted YBOA National Finals, drawing 360 teams who have competed and won at the local state level. 

 

Combining local league participation, fund-raising for tournaments, regular camps, regional, super-regional’s and national tournaments – hey there is even YBOA tournament in Afghanistan! – obviously creates many challenges, and that’s where Goalline comes in. 

 

Having worked with literally thousands of teams, leagues and associations Goalline’s system has a “been there done that” approach built into its mandate. So, for example, when YBOA noted that they were having a difficult time handling its paper registrations and fees, Goalline had the answer with its online registration system that routinely handles hundreds of thousands of amateur sports transactions daily. Just one of the many ways Goalline routinely saves volunteers and associations time and money.

 

In the coming weeks ahead the current YBOA Louisiana site is going to see major changes as it moves to the Goalline system; so look for big changes in 2012 as Goalline continues grow with YBOA, creating a fresh new site, backed by major functionality to power the association well into the future.
