The ACHA currently boasts five divisions (Men's Division 1, 2, and 3; Women's Division 1 and 2) with over 420 teams from across the nation representing 49 different states. As such the ACHA is a major partner of Goalline, and one of the largest and most high profile Associations using the Goalline system to power its statistics, logistics, scheduling and league organization. The ACHA is a non-profit corporation originally set up to provide coherence and unity to men’s collegiate hockey programs across the US. Started in 1991, the founding members wanted to raise the standards for collegiate hockey, providing structure, regulation and a more high quality organization for teams across the country. The Association now boasts an incredibly high level of play and coaching, and hosts national tournaments for all of its divisions. “While many casual Canadian hockey fans may not know the ACHA, the ACHA is well known and highly regarded in hockey circles both in the United States and here in Canada,” notes Goalline’s Vice-President Mike Johnson. Evidence of the high caliber of play, a Division II Selects team, made up of twenty-one players from all eighteen ACHA Division II colleges and universities, is now touring Europe and handedly beating many of its European competition.
